Pevensey Recreation Ground

Pevensey Recreation Ground is a calm and open green space, perfect for an easy local walk near the Sussex coast. With wide grassy areas and plenty of room for a gentle wander, it is a lovely spot for a slower-paced stroll or a quick leg stretch with your pup. Dogs do need to stay on leads throughout the recreation ground, making it best suited for relaxed walks and sniffy exploring rather than off-lead play. There are no facilities directly on site, but the free car park makes visiting nice and easy. Once you have finished your walk, the nearby high street is just a short wander away with a handful of dog-friendly pubs and cafés waiting for a cosy post-walk stop.

Bring along a long line lead if your pup enjoys a little extra sniffing freedom while staying safely on lead. After your walk, head towards the high street where you will find plenty of cosy dog-friendly spots for a water bowl, coffee, and a well earned treat.
