Shinewater Park

Shinewater Park has plenty of open space to explore with your dog, with level, surfaced paths leading around the park and alongside the lake. On our visit, the warm weather meant we chose not to complete the full lake walk, as there aren’t many shaded areas to escape the sun. The surfaced paths make it accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, while dog waste bins are available around the park. There’s also a dog-friendly café where dogs are welcome inside, with toilets and accessible toilets available. If you’re planning a Saturday morning visit, keep in mind that Parkrun takes place here and the park may be busier than usual.

With limited shade around the park, consider the weather before setting off on warmer days and save the longer lake walk for a cooler visit.
