Scuttlebutt

Scuttlebutt is a relaxed dog-friendly outdoor café tucked away at Birdham Pool in Chichester, surrounded by boats and some great waterside walks. Run by a local couple, it is a firm favourite with Woof Scout Crocker, who finds it very difficult to walk past without stopping! The seasonal drinks are always worth a look, alongside coffees and teas, while the fresh and unusual bakes are a real highlight, with several allergy-friendly choices usually available too. Dogs are well looked after with fresh water and biscuits on hand, plus Sir Woofchester treats and doggy ice cream available to buy. There is outdoor seating where you can watch the boats and the world go by, with extra benches along the waterfront if the tables are busy, and toilets are available in the nearby marina buildings. Often overlooked in favour of the larger Chichester Marina nearby, Scuttlebutt is a great little stop to include when exploring Birdham Pool with your dog.
