About Woof & Explore
How It All Started
We’re first-time dog owners who quickly realised that finding dog-friendly places to eat, drink, and explore wasn’t always easy. We weren’t sure which parks were enclosed, which cafés allowed dogs inside, or even where the best local walks were.
So we started Woof & Explore to make things easier — for us, and for the dog-loving community around us.
What began as a personal list soon turned into Wood & Explore — a space where pups and their person could discover the best places to explore together.
What We Offer
We’re here to take the guesswork out of dog-friendly adventures in Brighton (and beyond). On our site, you’ll find:
- Bi-weekly dog meet-ups in parks around the city
- Dog-friendly cafés, pubs, and restaurants
- Local parks with notes on access, safety, and shade
- Nearby spots across Sussex worth sniffing out
We do the digging, so you and your pup can just enjoy the day.
Meet Lily
Lily is our chief explorer and inspiration — a Westie who loves muddy puddles, shady trails, and the occasional puppuccino.
She’s tested most of the places we feature, so if it’s on the site, it’s had the Lily paw of approval.
